Oreo's sandwiched together within a cream filling, paired with indulgent, fudgy brownie. What more could you possibly want?!?! This trifle will have you going back for more, savoring each bite.

The trifle is best made the day before, allow resting time for the Oreo cookies to become soft like a cake sandwiched in between the cream cheese filling.

Brownies can be added to this trifle too, don’t think anyone would say no to an extra dose of chocolate.

What will it taste like?

Brownies – chocolatey and indulgent. Brownies add a fudgy texture.

Chocolate Ganache – this will add sweetness, but the dessert itself won’t be overly sweet.

Cookies and Cream Cheesecake – it is so delicious and tangy; it helps to breakthrough the sweetness of the chocolate.

Whipped Cream – the star of the show. The texture will be soft and creamy.

  • A large trifle bowl will be needed for the assembly.

Brownies:

  • 75g plain flour
  • 75g unsweetened cocoa powder

Method

Chocolate Ganache:

  2. Once melted, cover with cling film and allow to set at room temperature.

Brownies:

  1. Preheat the oven to 175C. Butter and line an 8x8inch square tin with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter and chocolate in a microwave safe bowl, mixing at each 20 second interval.
  3. Add flour, eggs, sugar to a large mixing bowl with the paddle attachment, mix on low speed. Alternatively, mix with a wooden spoon.
  4. Slowly add the melted chocolate butter mixture.
  5. Add batter to the lined tin. Bake for 30 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Allow to completely cool down at room temperature. Cut up into 4x4 rows, you should end up with 16 brownie cubes.

Cookies and Cream Cheesecake:

  1. Add the cream cheese, icing sugar and vanilla extract to a large mixing bowl. Using an electric handheld mixer, whip up until creamy and smooth. Add the whipping cream and Oreos, mix well until all is combined.

Whipped Cream:

  1. Add the cream and vanilla extract to a mixing bowl. Whip up to stiff peaks.

Assembly:

  1. Begin by adding half the brownies.
  2. Top with half of the cheesecake mixture, spread evenly.
  3. Top with crushed Oreos, spread evenly with a spoon.
  4. Add half of the chocolate ganache.
  5. Add a third of the whipped cream and spread evenly.
  6. Add more of the crushed Oreos followed by the rest of the brownies.
